Last Minute Adventure

We were able to go to the petting zoo two days before it closed for the Winter. There were only a couple of animals but enough to satisfy the kids. Much to Lance's delight, he was able to feed some of the animals, climb the stack of hay, play in the playground ala Indiana Jones because of the hanging bridge and ride on the cow train. We didn't go to the corn maze anymore and decided to just conquer it next summer!

Happy First!

Oh how time flies. October 30 marks our first year here in Lethbridge. A year since our unforgettable flight from Manila to Tokyo, Tokyo to Vancouver, and finally Vancouver to Calgary. I promised myself not to go through that kind of experience again, never ever again! More than anything else on my mind that day, I just felt relieved that we got here safely and finally reunited with Mark. Lesson learned? Always TRAVEL LIGHT especially when you have 2 children.

Getting settled in our rented main floor part of the house was quite a joyful experience, overwhelmed with the many stuff given to us by generous people, challenged as to how to put everything in place while making the kids feel at home and adapt to their new environment.

Yes, it has been a year, there are a lot of things that I haven't tried yet. I have not been on the bus or out all by myself. It's just the park, school, bakery and our house. I don't have a job, nor a social life. But what I do have is my FAMILY and they are more than enough to complete me.

Busy Kids = A Happy Mom

As much as I enjoy bonding with my two children, I am also thankful for the rare moments that they get so preoccupied with some activities. Forget the mess as a result of their 'activities.' It is during this time that they learn how to be creative, use their imagination and enjoy themselves while I get to enjoy some 'me' time even if it's just for a few minutes.

Here comes the Snow!

We are not yet done raking up the leaves and now here comes the snow! It is such a beauty though but I am not looking forward to having a lot of snow this year because it's about a kilometer walk to Lance's school, with my youngest Leila in tow, not to mention the freezing temperature. Oh I ain't complaining, snow brings out the kid in me, I have always wanted to experience it and now it's here...Welcome to Winter Wonderland again!
