New Year, New Food, Same Big Appetite Part II

Our love for meat is obvious by now and here's some more. Hubby craved for hickory smoked fall off the bone ribs and we've had it three times in the past two weeks already.

HUGE!

I know our diet consists of too much meat so enough of the meat talk already. I cooked baked fish and mixed seafood in coconut milk and both were a hit.

A couple of days ago, I couldn't think of what to prepare for dinner so I came up with a surprise junk food dinner. Hotdogs on stick, spinach pizza and french fries with melted cheese. Finally, a meal without rice!

And lastly, my daughter's latest favorite, strawberries, bananas and whipped cream with sprinkles.

There goes our new and old meals and my family's same old, big appetite :D

New Year, New Food, Same Big Appetite Part I

I may have been busy but I still have some good food to share. Hubby has been doing some of the cooking, experimenting with the Aylmer Accents tomatoes and has made soup twice using different flavors. The first one turned out oily but it was still delicious, the second was just as yummy.

Our favorite Orange Ginger Chicken Stir fry remains on top of my easy and lazy meal list. A true winner plus I get to use my Arctic Garden frozen veggies purchased with coupons of course.

I had hubby slice the leftover ham and I cooked one batch with pineapple and sugar making it more flavorful. I saved the rest for lazy days.

Hubby's type of food is meat with sauce. He likes burger patties but I haven't made a patty that is super delicious. We bought a box of prime rib burger patties and they were so good. I made burger steak and grilled burger with cheese. I have to buy another box ASAP. I'm gonna add this to our favorites.

Are you getting hungry? I am. There's more :D

Making Room for More

my 'office'

We had to make some changes here at home, I just had to have a computer desk which can accommodate all my coupon related stuff in other words, my MESS. So I got one for my birthday thanks to hubby. We also had to get a pantry cabinet for all the extra stuff as well and yes there goes my coupon savings. It's nice to see them all in one place, some are in the kitchen cupboards and in our storage cabinet.

cereals were free and some I bought for 47 cents, rice krispies squares, tuna, triscuits all free, the rest are below a dollar- $4 max/item (laundry detergent but the other 2 were free as well)

ziploc $4.97/4 boxes, 40 bottles of hairspray and mousse for free and boxed tissues for 79 cents each

I'm pretty sure I'll be needing more room to put my future hauls. I'm hoping I would be able to fill up a box to send to our relatives in the Philippines. I am not getting these for myself and I can't wait to share the goodies. Knowing it's going to bring joy to others especially to our families motivates me to coupon, coupon and coupon. We won't be able to afford to buy all these without sacrificing our own budget at home and couponing has made it all possible :D
