Breakfast without Rice

Hollandaise sauce, poached egg, and ham for the Eggs Benedict
My wish to cook breakfast on a regular basis hasn't come true yet. I realized that if I want this to happen, I'd have to wake up really early which is impossible at the moment since I don't usually sleep early and it's not insomnia. It's just that I enjoy having a quiet time of my own when the kids are asleep and I'm free to do anything I wish. That quiet time extends up to the wee hours of the morning resulting to, of course, waking up late.

Eggs Benedict
Today's an exception though. I gave the hollandaise sauce a try and proceeded to make Eggs Benedict as requested. The sauce wasn't complicated as I first thought it was and yes, it turned out with this lemony and buttery taste.

Once again, we stuffed ourselves too much with breakfast we didn't have room for lunch. The kids loved the English muffins with ham and cheese while Lei treated the hollandaise sauce like soup :D
